Godparent Program

Enabling godchildren: Nourish and Nurture. Help them grow and shine.

Conceived in 1984, the Godparent Program seeks to address financial concerns of scholars through a program of matching these scholars with willing supporters or Godparents.

Our godchildren are among the top 240 students (out of over 30,000 who take the NCE) who qualify for admission at the PSHS Main Campus. These scholars mostly come from public elementary schools and face challenging financial situations.

Godparent Program: Godchildren Care Fund

The Godparent Program is now the other flagship program of the Foundation, a Program that does not just provide financial assistance, but also fosters the holistic growth of the godchildren.

The other program components and activities of the Godparent Program are funded by the Godchildren Care Fund. We are continuously growing the Godchildren Care Fund to ensure sustained and continuing support.

Monitoring of the Academic Performance of the Godchildren

The PSHS curriculum is a very challenging curriculum. We want all godchildren to be able to complete their secondary education and graduate from PSHS.

Godchildren who have difficulty with their academics, are given tutors, sometimes former godchildren now in college.

Godchildren who shine are given recognition. The Foundation takes pride in the Godchildren Merit Awardees – godchildren who are in the Director’s List or who brings honor to the school as recipients of awards, like, the Oblation Award of the University of the Philippines, or as winners of competitions.

We hold co-curricular activities for the godchildren. Fun experiences. Learning experiences.

The godchildren enjoy the annual field trips and social events the Foundations hold.

Alumni batches and the Batch PTAs invite the godchildren to their fundraising movie premieres or plays or concerts and activities.

We foster character development.

We plan and conduct leadership, personal enhancement and wellness seminars or workshops for the godchildren.

We promote excellence.

We fund godchildren’s research and allow them to present their research in local and international conferences.

We fund a selected godchild chosen to represent the PSHS and even our Philippines to compete in local and international competitions.
